David Moore is a painter of light.  "I am interested in the way light hits certain forms; those forms give a particular effect. People then have a reaction to the luminous". 

David Moore is an exceptional painter in the genre of still life and landscape painting.

"Barlach (the Goanna) evolved to represent inner and outer strength and teaches us how to protect ourselves through managing our confidence, pride and arrogance.”  The artist considers Barlach as a metaphor for imperfection.

Liz Sullivan is securing her presence 'at the table' in major Australian painting prizes. Liz was a finalist in the Archibald Prize for portraiture earlier this year, and now Liz Sullivan has been selected for two additional, significant painting prizes. Clearly, she is doing something that is getting the selectors attention.

‘You know I don’t like portraits.’ So said Germaine Greer while sitting for this painting. ‘Her only instruction was that she wasn’t having any input,’ says Liz Sullivan, a first-time Archibald finalist.

Jeff Gardner’s artwork delivers a sprinkle of whimsy to the Artspace program in 2022, with the artist’s oeuvre being highly personal, poetic and imaginative.

“The image in Intermission is redolent of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s adventures in Wonderland, transformed into a table of rabbits in various states of awe, enthusiasm and collapse as audience to the performance by Nick the Mouse. As in Carroll’s Alice books, humour and irreverence are discernible threads influencing Jeff’s artwork and poetry.”
