Ladybird and Grasshopper Mountains will arrive in Maldon!
Two significant Australian Artist will be at Cascade Art Gallery in Maldon for the OFFICIAL OPENING of Ladybird Mountain an exhibition of outstanding new oil paintings, prints and bronzes by Dean Bowen.
On Saturday May the 11th at 2pm, distinguished Australian Artist, John Wolseley will officially launch the Ladybird Mountain exhibition.
Large, medium and small oil paintings depicting vibrant coloured insects and animals – ladybirds, magpies, echidnas and grasshoppers will be on display.
Dean Bowen is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading painters and sculptors and this showing is quite a coup for Maldon. If Ladybirds represent good luck and good fortune, then there is an abundance of goodwill residing in Maldon during May and June.
All welcome to visit and enjoy the extraordinary venue and artworks. Cascade Art Gallery is set in a superb example of Gothic Revival Church architecture which has now been converted into a contemporary art space. Cascade Art Gallery is open every day except Monday from 10am – 5pm.
